The Sandbox has four tiers: Flow (discrete-rate teaching models), Stats (ReliaStats®), Lines (ReliaSim®, the default) and Networks (supply-chain demos: where the sites go, orders and stock day by day, and the tariff or fuel price that flips the answer). The Lines tier comes in three groups. Build up a line (Constraint-Level) builds one bottling line up a node at a time, with each machine’s stops rolled into a few interrupts. What the stops cost (LEDS-Level) replaces those with the 36 named failure modes a Line Event Data System records, so the Capper is not simply down but down for an attributable reason. Capital options builds one decision two or three ways and runs them side by side. The Stats tier’s Fit your stop data opens the ReliaStats® tools for turning a machine’s stop history into the curves these models run on.
Within each track the line grows in four steps: 1-Constraint (one machine, interrupts only), 5-Constraint (five in series, where blocking and starvation appear), Converter (bottles to cases to pallets), and Buffer-Options (inline buffers added — where efficiency notably does not improve).
